Event Overview:

The American Thyroid Association (ATA) is pleased to welcome thyroidologists and healthcare professionals from around the world as host of the 2015 15th International Thyroid Congress (ITC) taking place October 18-23, 2015 at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, USA.

The ITC is a collaborative meeting held every fifth year by the four world thyroid associations: ATA, Asia-Oceania Thyroid Association (AOTA), European Thyroid Association (ETA), and Latin American Thyroid Society (LATS). Each society hosts the ITC on a rotating basis. In the year of the ITC, each Society forgoes individual annual meetings and holds one, joint scientific annual meeting at the ITC (including call for abstracts and poster sessions).

This year the ATA is hosting the 15th International Thyroid Conference (ITC) with an anticipated attendance of over 2,500 healthcare professionals.The conference will bring together top researchers and practitioners in thyroidology withinterests in the fields of endocrinology, oncology, nuclear medicine, surgery, pathology, cytology, biology and related areas. They will gather to exchange ideas and learn about improvements in their field, advanced technologies, and new products. Physicians & other scientists involved with the thyroid as a specialty communicate their interests to their colleagues through scientific conferences and congresses which AOTA organizes in different sites in the Asian Region, now in increasing frequency.

About European Thyroid Association (ETA):

The European Thyroid Association's aims are to promote knowledge in the thyroid field (fundamental and clinical) and improve knowledge of the thyroid gland and its diseases.

The Association was founded in 1965 and has met each year since then, with the exception of the years in which the International Thyroid Congress has been held. The Annual Scientific Meeting regularly attracts more than 300 abstracts and over 500 active participants. Membership of the Association consists of honorary, ordinary, junior, corporate, corresponding and senior members. There are over 600 members.

This collaborated event is held every 5th year.
