The Mid-Atlantic Dental Meeting is the premier dental meeting in the region, attracting more than 3,000 dental professionals annually. The 2016 Mid-Atlantic Dental Meeting will feature an outstanding three day commercial exhibition and extensive clinical sessions that will offer something for every member of a dental team - dentists, hygienists, dental assistants and office staff. In addition to the commercial exhibition, the meeting will include both a Practice Residency Fair and a Dental Hygiene Program Fair which will appeal to dental students and professionals from around the country. The Mid-Atlantic Dental Meeting is put on by the District of Columbia Dental Society - the local American Dental Association’s (ADA) constituent society.
The meeting serves as a place where exhibitors and dental professionals from around the nation join together to learn the latest techniques and technology in the dental field, as well as expand their professional network. First held in 1931 as a venue for local dental professionals to connect and provide a setting for collaborative education in the emerging field and practice of dentistry. Today, the Mid-Atlantic Dental Meeting continues to grow and has expanded from its original mission of providing education and networking to dentists, to providing opportunities to the entire spectrum of dental professionals.
The District of Columbia Dental Society will also be celebrating its 150th anniversary during the 2016 Mid-
Atlantic Dental Meeting and exciting plans are underway to commemorate this milestone.
