Beaux Arts Festival of Art- Our anchor fundraising project since 1952 is our Festival of Art, a juried art show held on the UM campus grounds that attracts thousands of art enthusiasts annually from the South Florida area. Each registered artist participates in an Artist Award Contest by medium. There is fun for the whoe family. A Children’s Art Park allows children to enjoy arts and crafts projects, talented musicians and other acts are featured on our main stage and myriad food vendors provide a delicious variety of foods. The Bare Bones Ball, held on the Friday evening prior to the Festival’s opening is our members’ kick-off costume party and silent auction.
About Beaux Arts:
Beaux Arts is a volunteer organization whose general nature and purpose is to promote interest and funding to The Lowe Art Museum of the University of Miami. We provide improvements, equipment, and financial assistance to exhibitions and encourage a more thorough understanding and appreciation of the arts.
All proceeds from Beaux Arts events are allocated to fund future art exhibitions, improvements and permanent collection acquisitions. Support of Beaux Arts will help fund the Lowe Art Museum’s established community programs and introduce underserved children to the world of cultural arts.
