Every year we are asked the same question, “How are you going to top last year?” And if you’ve attended HOW Design Live in the past you know it was an amazing, exhilarating and career changing conference. But our programming and events team is up for the challenge to make each year better than the previous one. That’s our promise to you.

Dorothéa Volpe

Dorothéa Bozicolona-Volpe was born in New York City to French and Italian parents. Her Father’s passing caused her family to move to Europe where she became somewhat of a nomad. She has lived in Italy, France, Germany, Japan, Sweden, The Netherlands and the United Kingdom. 

Dorothéa Bozicolona-Volpe is a strategic digital marketing executive who is fluent in 4 languages and specializes in developing business for international brands (Fortune 500) via initiating and integrating social media and digital strategies and enterprise social networking, as well as, building strategic partnerships and implementing marketing technologies. 

Dorothéa teaches marketers and business leaders how to measure, optimize and build current new media efforts to increase value and develop strong relationships between brands and fans. 

Brian Collins

Chief Creative Officer and Co-Founder, COLLINS

Over his career, Brian and his team have won every major creative award. Their work has been featured in The New York Times, Forbes, Creativity, Fortune, NBC News, ABC News and Fast Company, which named Brian an American Master of Design. 

In 2017, COLLINS developed the concept and design of Ford’s launch of The City of Tomorrow, focusing on the future of urban mobility. For ten years prior to founding COLLINS, Brian was the Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of the brand and innovation division of Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide. 

Brian was made a Distinguished Alumnus of the Massachusetts College of Art in 2004 and received an Honorary Doctorate from the Art Center College of Design in 2008. In 2013, he was invited to join the Worldwide Creative Council of Ogilvy & Mather, the board which oversees the agency’s work globally. 

Brian speaks globally on the effect of design on the future including at Kellogg, Columbia, The Next Web, PopTech. He was the first graphic designer invited to participate in the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, and was a charter member of the Forum’s 
Global Agenda Council. 

This month Brian will receive the Bell Labs Luminary Award for his contribution in design and innovation — in the past given to Eric Schmidt, Stephen Fry and David Byrne. 

Brian has been a professor in the Graduate Program of the School of Visual Arts since 2001. He is a Director of The One Club for Creativity, the world’s foremost non-profit organization recognizing creative excellence in design and advertising.
