About the International Papillomavirus Society:

The mission of the International Papillomavirus Society is to facilitate research on human and animal papillomaviruses and their associated diseases, and to promote the translation of research results into new clinical applications and public health policies. The Society serves as the organizational structure for the field of biomedical scientists and physicians engaged in all manner of papillomavirus research and promotes translational research involving basic and clinical scientists as well as epidemiologists and public health workers at academic, governmental and corporate laboratories and hospitals. The Society maintains a Web Site (www.IPVSoc.org) for professional communication and public education, and provides a membership directory and services. The Society and its members foster the careers of new investigators through training, opportunities for collaboration, and funding of travel fellowships to the conferences and workshops. The International Papillomavirus Society provides the primary oversight for the Annual Conferences and coordination of fund raising and maintenance of the membership and general announcement lists for these meetings. It also is a staunch advocate for additional HPV research, public awareness of HPV diseases and opportunities for prevention and management, and international education.
