Keynote Speakers

Ken Washington

Vice President, Research and Advanced Engineering, Ford Motor Company

Total Transformation: How Ford is Reinventing Itself for the Digital Age

In today’s digital age, the rapid advancement in technology is transforming the automotive industry. Data analytics, the Internet of Things, virtual reality, robotics, and additive manufacturing are disrupting not only the design and manufacturing of cars, SUVs and trucks, but also leading to emerging mobility services and solutions. In this keynote speech, Raj Nair, Ford’s executive vice president, Global Product Development, and chief technical officer, will share how Ford is deploying an innovative mindset in every part of its business, focusing on connectivity, vehicle electrification, autonomous vehicles and the customer experience, to change the way the world moves.

Brett Wood

President and CEO of Toyota Material Handling North America

Toyota Production System: Insights from the Inside

Attend a keynote session presented by a leader of a corporation that has inspired several generations of companies to adopt the Toyota Production System (TPS) as their operating philosophy. We all know how fast our world is changing, but simply changing along with it is not enough. We need to be proactive and swift in our actions to differentiate ourselves from the competition. Toyota Material Handling North America President and CEO Brett Wood will share the “inside story” about how their company continues to evolve and strengthen the TPS principles to increase productivity, benefit its dealers and customers, and what his team is doing to help associates embrace change and stay motivated and involved in continuous improvement.

Billy Ray Taylor

Director of Manufacturing of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company

Lean Team: Driving, Enabling & Sustaining Operations Excellence

The success of a business organization comes back to the challenge: Institutionalizing Operational Excellence through everyone in your organization. Billy R. Taylor will share a Business Operating System that enables his operations organization convert strategy into results. The management system effectively provides clarity:  "Define winning" (purpose of the work and specific objectives of the work), "Align winning" (who owns specific objectives of the work) and "Execute winning" (The processes used to govern the work).

The system ensures proper organizational alignment of Functions and Tiers to the overall business strategy. Billy will demonstrate proven processes driven by strong execution skills and visual ownership at all levels. A disciplined and logical approach to getting things done, transforming strategies into winning.
