RECOVERY OPTIMIZATION FOR PRODUCTION PROFESSIONALS
The Mississippi Lime Production & Produced Water Congress 2013 is the second in the job function specific Mississippi Lime Series following on from the original Mississippi Lime Congress that took place in November 2012. And this time the agenda has been engineered to focus specifically on delivering solutions to production professionals working in the play.
The agenda this year will focus on production methodologies and techniques for cost-effectively managing produced water to ensure that Mississippi reserves can be economically produced. By delivering leading operator case studies, the congress will identify pioneering best practices and production success stories to discover what works most effectively in the play.
Day One will focus on Water Management showcasing how an operator is developing cost effective systems for handling produced water from production to transport to disposal. Breaking down production data, speakers will then assess the factors driving produced water volumes to predict the amount that will need handled. Cost-effective disposal options with then be identified by assessing the pros and cons of SWDs followed by solutions for treating and re-using produced water. Speakers will deliver the latest water transport and storage options being used and will finish the day by examining water shut-off techniques for reducing produced water volumes and discussing options for operator collaboration on water infrastructure.
Day Two focuses on Production Techniques and starts with a case study showing how an operator has applied production techniques to increase oil recovery in the Mississippi Lime. A strong emphasis on artificial lift takes shape in comparative presentations pertaining to ESP, gas lift and rod pumps. Solutions for meeting the demand for three-phase electricity will then be addressed to ensure power is always available for running pumps. Production optimization solutions are then investigated by comparing techniques for choking back and pressure draw down. Finally, optimal recovery lift methods will be further investigated by addressing the geological characteristics of the Mississippian and determining how they can drive decisions on production technology.
