The North Atlantic Fish & Workboat Show brings together the key buyers from across the region to the Mile One Centre on a biannual basis. There is no better medium to meet current and new customers face to face. This event caters to all those who work on or around the water, featuring boats, supplies services and safety equipment for commercial fisherman and other workboats.
In 2014, a broad exhibitor base showcased new and innovative products to 3,177 qualified buyers walking the show floor. There was significant growth in the number of visitors in the areas of offshore oil & gas and seafood processing, in particular.
The 2016 edition promises to be even stronger! In the Maritimes this year, the industry has been enjoying near-record lobster catches combined with good prices. Additionally, all indicators point to Northern Cod stocks improving dramatically, and progress is being made in the area of lobster industry marketing and Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certification. All good news for the industry!
