The Authority on 3D: Scanning, Printing, and Additive Manufacturing
RAPID was developed by SME members who wanted an annual forum to learn and share additive manufacturing knowledge and best practices and buy and sell related equipment and services. They envisioned a community of like-minded professionals to which they could belong and with whom they could grow their skills, opportunities and businesses.
RAPID grew with them. The first RAPID conference, held in 1990, had more than 100 attendees; by the third year it grew to over 700 attendees and included exhibits. In 2013, RAPID had over 2,500 attendees from over 20 countries – the largest event to date. RAPID – much like additive manufacturing/3D printing and 3D scanning – has advanced over time.
RAPID may not draw the biggest crowd but it draws the RIGHT crowd. The event’s size keeps it nimble and focused – able to add and improve content, shift locations, be the authority on additive and 3D manufacturing technologies. People attend RAPID year after year because they know they are going to get what they need and more than they expected.
RAPID connects, educates, advances.
And it’s been that way for nearly 25 years.
Join us in 2014 and experience the additive evolution.
