Overview

Event Overview:

The World's Largest and Longest Running Event for Shared Services, Outsourcing, Transformation & GBS Professionals

Through our thought-leading content, big ideas speakers and global community SSON’s North American Shared Services and Outsourcing Week has established a reputation as THE place to meet and exchange ideas that will decide the direction for companies within the SSC, BPO and GBS market. This year’s event comes at a complex time for the industry as many shared services leaders find themselves rapidly moving into un-chartered territory.  Fewer FTEs, increased value-added services, robotics process automation and data analytics all combine to make a shared services backdrop vastly different from ten years ago.  Although immensely challenging, this smart and automated business environment provides untold opportunities for shared services that have a plan and know how to manage that transformation. SS&O Week is perfectly placed to assist you in navigating this tricky terrain, presenting clear and detailed exposes on everything from implementing RPA, to cross-generational talent management, to climbing the value-chain and back.

Exhibitor / Sponsor Information:

About SSON:

The Shared Services & Outsourcing Network (SSON) is the largest and most established community of shared services and outsourcing professionals in the world. Established in 1999, SSON recognized the revolution in support services as it was happening, and realized that a forum was needed through which practitioners could connect with each other on a regional as well as a global basis.

President, Global Business Services

P&G

Digital Disruption and the Next Generation of Shared Services

Imagine how your CEO would react if you delivered true business value and digital transformation without requesting an increase in your budget? This is exactly what P&G is doing. As part of its ongoing commitment to continue taking shared services to the next level, P&G now is on a transformational journey to create the next generation shared services that is entirely self-funded. To do this, they are focused on automation while fully embracing exponential technologies like AI, outcome-based work-process design and machine learning. This, in turn, has enabled them to deliver vast efficiencies and drive true value for the business. In this session P&G’s GBS President Julio Nemeth takes us through how they delivered their incredible transformation including overcoming the perennial challenges of developing the talent needed, end-to-end process management and stakeholder buy-in.

Building Relationships in an Increasingly Digital World

Best known for founding Travelocity.com and serving as founding Chairman of Kayak.com, Terry Jones has become a powerful voice in the world of entrepreneurship through his numerous speaking engagements and the publication of his book, ON Innovation. His career path has established him as a thought leader on innovation in our increasingly digital world. A graduate of Denison University in Granville, Ohio, Jones, began his career as a travel agent, spent 24 years at American Airlines in marketing and information technology, capping his career as Chief Information Officer of its SABRE division. While at SABRE he led a team of six working on a project that became Travelocity.com. Jones served as CEO of Travelocity for seven years transforming it to a public company with three billion dollars in travel sales.

He left Travelocity when the company was taken private and became part of the founding team at Kayak.com, a company that yet again revolutionized how travel was purchased. He served as Chairman of the company from its founding until it was sold to Priceline for $1.8 billion dollars in 2013. Today he is the Chairman of WayBlazer. He serves on the boards of Boingo, Smart Destinations and Camping and Education Foundation. He has previously served on the boards of Entrust, Overture, La Quinta Hotels, Luxury Link and EarthLink. He is a venture capitalist with General Catalyst and Sierra Angels.
