Overview: Bruce Cryer has been involved in founding several visionary companies after leaving a successful career as a singer/dancer/actor on Broadway. He followed his own personal vision several times to reinvent himself and follow a vision that stirred his passions.
His 20+ year association with HeartMath, an innovative research and training center near Silicon Valley, has shaped his views on visionary leadership and informed his work as HeartMath's CEO and in his newest venture as co-founder of What Makes Your Heart Sing. His 15-year association with the Stanford Business School and extensive work with clients on four clients, has led to the development of key principles of visionary leadership. His personal stories and examples will inspire you to reach beyond the mundane tasks of the typical executive and help you regain the vision and inspiration that brought you into your work.
This presentation will explore the scientific model of human flourishing and its relevance to the demands on executives, as well as case studies which will help listeners be inspired to awaken their "inner visionary".
Why should you attend: There are many types of leaders, many different styles and theories of great leadership. But the truly visionary ones leave their mark not only on the organization they led, but often entire industries and even generations. What are the characteristics of visionary leaders? One quality found in all visionary leaders is the inspiration to follow an idea unknown or unaccepted at the time, and to be absolutely committed to seeing it through at the highest level possible.
In our generation, Steve Jobs is the ultimate example of the visionary leader capable of envisioning or transforming not one but several industries during his shortened career. His vision of what was possible and what customers would want was impeccable and uncanny. In this program you will learn fundamental tools and principles to ensure you are rising above the "small stuff" and engaging the vision you and your organization to navigate through an uncertain rapidly changing future. You will learn how to avoid common traps most businesspeople (especially leaders) fall into that block their vision. You will leave inspired and eager to learn more.
