Celebrate nine decades of education, innovation and inspiration March 4–8, 2018 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. WVC’s Annual Conference is one of the largest, most influential gatherings of veterinary professionals in the world. Spanning five days, participants will select from more than 1,000 CE hours, have an opportunity to meet with 500+ exhibitors, and be inspired and entertained.
WVC presents scientific and practice relevant information to members of the veterinary profession and supporting paraprofessionals. The Annual Conference is not open to the general public and reserves the right to determine attendance and participation of non-veterinarians.
- Graduate Veterinarians: Graduate veterinarians are welcome to attend the Conference regardless of their licensure status, employment status, or school of graduation. A graduate veterinarian, first-year graduate and retired veterinarian, must register as a veterinarian.
- DVM Students: U.S. and International students may register online or onsite. Students must present their current school ID, at Badge Pickup or Onsite Registration. Note: DVM student registration does not apply to DVM graduates with a residency or internship status.
- Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, Practice Managers, and Administrative Staff: Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, Practice Managers and Administrative Staff are eligible to attend the Conference. Administrative staff must be employed in a veterinary facility. The minimum age for all registrants is 18.
- Veterinary Technician Students: (U.S. and Canada): Must be enrolled in an AVMA accredited program. Available to 2nd, 3rd or 4th-year students only. NOTE: Student must provide a letter from Program Director on school letterhead, verifying enrollment. When registering online, letter can be uploaded during the registration process. Once verified by WVC, the registration will be completed and a confirmation will be sent via email.

A 90 Year Legacy
Since 1928, WVC has provided comprehensive, progressive and practical continuing education [CE] to veterinary professionals. The Association was founded in Logan, Utah as Intermountain Livestock Sanitary Association and was renamed Western Veterinary Conference in 1965. In 2014, the name was officially changed from Western Veterinary Conference to WVC.
Las Vegas, a premier destination for large conventions, has been home to WVC since 1963.
