What Is TravCon?
TravCon is a conference that is dedicated to the Traveling Healthcare Professional. It provides the opportunity to network with other travelers & top industry insiders. Earn CEU’s for classes specific to the industry, connect with other travelers, & meet staffing agencies in a relaxed, low-pressure setting.
The Exhibit Hall has over 100 exhibitors – many of them staffing agencies with open positions to fill. You’ll come away from this conference with a whole new set of skills on how to manage your traveling career!
Our Story
A conference for healthcare travelers called ‘TMPC’ (Travel Medical Professionals Conference) started as a an idea around a table with – you guessed it – travelers! The first conference was an amazing success & history was made. The Travelers Conference became an official entity with three founders: Phil Light, Joseph Smith & Michelle Freitag in 2009.
They immediately had to contend with a industry-wide downturn for 2 years, but eventually turned it around with the help of fellow travelers & supporters, many with us from the very beginning. We continue focus on providing a conference dedicated to not only healthcare travelers, but to the traveling healthcare industry overall.
Traveling is a lonely endeavor – we bring travelers together to help support each other!
Who Attends TravCon?
TravCon is attended by RN’s, LPN’s, NP’s, PA’s, & Allied Healthcare Professionals including RT’s OT’s, PT’s, SLP’s, Sonographers, & Technicians. It is also very popular with “Dreamers” – those in the medical field who are exploring the idea of taking their profession on the road.
Some attendees bring their traveling partner or spouse as they are frequently part of the ‘traveling team’. Spouses enjoy attending non-clinical sessions, interviewing potential recruiters, or just hanging out with other spouses in the Spouse’s Lounge.
