Whether you are in academia or private practice this session promises to both educate and inspire you on how to be productive in learning and teaching. Delivered by nationally renowned neuroscientist, John Medina, this two part presentation utilizes a neuroscientific perspective to demonstrate practical ways to impart complex information to learners at any stage of life. The first part of the session focuses on the attentional and arousal states of human cognition and will expose what makes information interesting, as well as what makes it boring. The second part explores declarative information and various aspects of human memory processing to reveal what makes the information we receive memorable.
