Why Attend

Event Overview:

Networking is a must
CADA Conventions provide numerous ways to meet professionals with common questions, experiences, and tips.  We encourage you to reach out and develop a network of individuals that will support you during convention and once you return to your job site.  The Area Hospitality Suites offer a great time to socialize and grab a bit to eat

General Sessions
You won’t want to miss the general sessions.  Keynote speakers will inspire, motivate and challenge you.  Be prepared to laugh and reflect on your career.  Learn about CADA, meet some of our affiliates, and celebrate our CADA members’ accomplishments.

The 2018 CADA State Convention will have 11 Workshop sessions spread from Wednesday to Saturday. Each workshop session will be 45 minutes in length.

Saturday morning we will hold a combined Meet the Pros/Leadership Lessons Roundtable session, in which presenters will present a topic four times for 12 minutes per rotation during the hour-long session. These are focused topics related to an activities/leadership program, curriculum ideas, or a specific lesson which can be taught in a leadership classroom.

What does my CADA Conference Registration include?

All packages include dinner on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday and brunch on Saturday, entry into the exhibit hall, all social events, all workshops, general sessions, area functions, and convention giveaways.

About CADA:

The California Association of Directors of Activities began when a few student council advisors got together to share common problems and solutions. Since that weekend in 1957 CADA has grown into the largest statewide support network for Activity Directors in the nation.
