The APSA Annual Meeting is designed to provide comprehensive continuing education in the field of pediatric surgery. APSA is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Each year the annual meeting is planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the ACCME. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
The APSA 2017 Annual Meeting program will let you take a deep dive into a wide range of pediatric surgery topics.
The APSA Annual Meeting provides direct access to a targeted audience of decision makers - pediatric surgeons, pediatric training program directors, nurses and managers - who have influence over the products and services used in their universities, hospitals and practices. These professionals come together at the APSA meeting to share research and advances in the field of pediatric surgery and patient care.
Members of APSA have helped advance research and education in pediatric surgery for more than 40 years. APSA is widely recognized as the nation’s premier pediatric surgical association, and its members are greatly respected in the research and surgical communities.
The American Pediatric Surgical Association is the nation's largest professional organization dedicated to the pediatric surgical specialty.
In 2015 APSA has more than 1,200 members, mostly from North America, who represent the pediatric surgery arena from academia to government and private practice.
The APSA Annual Meeting, held every spring, has become the forum for the discussion and dissemination of the latest research and techniques in pediatric surgery.
As an organization and in tandem with other groups, APSA sets forth guidelines and statements for standards of care for infants and children and for influencing public policy around the surgical care of children.
APSA members comprise the Association of Pediatric Surgery Training Program Directors, which directs educational standards for the training of tomorrow's pediatric surgeons.
