HAuNTcon is an acronym for the Haunted Attraction National Tradeshow and Conference, an expo and convention. It's “Designed by Haunters, for Haunters” of every age and level of experience, HAuNTcon brings together thousands of people, both local and national, who love haunted houses, Halloween, incredible costumes and spooky activities for six days and nights of scares, thrills and chills. The conference will be open to the general public, and provides its attendees with a better-rounded knowledge of the haunt world, Houston’s scariest attractions, and the latest and greatest products and services on the market.
This is a great opportunity for local haunt enthusiasts to get a personal up-close and frightful look into Houston’s haunted attractions both inside and out. Participants can choose from a variety of attendee registrations that fit just about everyone’s budget. HAuNTcon registration ranges from one day haunt tours, two day pre-show bus tours, entrance into the Costume Ball, or get the full experience and purchase the full weekend combo ticket, HAnNTcon’s best value.
What makes HAuNTcon unique is the wide range of topics discussed by industry experts, the exhibitors, and the knowledge that participants can learn in just a few days. Last year HAuNTcon featured Haunted Enterprises, Fright Props, and Distortions Unlimited, all of which are well-known in the haunt industry for their success and leadership with haunted events and attractions.
Those who attend the multiple-day conference will have the chance to experience a wide range of options to choose from including trade show admission, tours of more than 15 local haunted houses, 40 hours of educational seminars and workshops, a haunted garage sale, and the annual frightfully-fun Costume Ball.
Participants will have the chance to learn from a multitude of industry experts. This year FaceOff contestant Tom Devlin will be giving an advanced all-day workshop on “Making Monsters 101.” Each student will take home Tom Devlin’s custom T13 Airbrush by Paasche. World Champion Face Painter Nick Wolfe will be teaching a "Do It Yourself Mask Making Class." Each attendee will take home a custom handmade mask. Class Sizes are limited, additional fees apply.
Each year, HAuNTcon moves to a different part of the country and offers tours of area Haunted Events, so that attendees can stay on the cutting edge of what the best attractions in the industry are doing. They want to grow the industry by promoting to home haunters, haunt actors and Halloween enthusiasts of all kinds. HAuNTcon welcomes anyone who is looking to expand their knowledge of the haunt industry.
