We provide resources, leadership and development opportunities for our SHRM members and human resource practitioners throughout Indiana.
WHAT WE DO
As the Indiana state affiliate of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), we bring together representatives from 15 local chapters to form the Indiana State Council of SHRM. We serve the needs of all chapters and SHRM members across the state by providing resources, opportunities and strategic direction for advancing the HR profession in their local communities. We also serve as a vital connection between local members and the national SHRM organization.
Human resources is a broad and growing field. SHRM welcomes experienced HR professionals, those just getting started, students and anyone performing HR duties within their organization, whether “HR” is in their title or not.
Advance the human resource profession and serve the professional by providing diverse resources, innovative leadership and development opportunities.
Be Indiana’s authority in people strategy for organizational leaders, human resource professionals and individuals involved in the practice of human resource management.
OUR STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
Chapter Support: To provide the 15 SHRM affiliated chapters throughout Indiana with resources and leadership.
Membership: To support all SHRM members (national, local chapter and student members) with resources and opportunities.
Partnerships: To partner with organizations that share our mission to advance the HR profession.

HR INDIANA EXHIBIT HALL THEME: STARS OF THE SILVER SCREEN!
2019 is the 25th Anniversary of the HR Indiana State Conference. A 25th anniversary is traditionally a silver anniversary, so our theme is “The Stars of the Silver Screen”. Based on your favorite movie celebrities, silver screen elegance, the classic movies everybody loves, and silver colors!
The HR Indiana Conference is one of the largest regional human resources conferences in the United States. At our 2018 annual conference, we attracted over 1,600 attendees and over 175 exhibitors. We will continue to grow in 2019 and we invite you to be a part of it!
Our goal is to be a best in class, regionally-focused SHRM conference, both in quality of our programming and in our attendance. We offer world-renowned keynote speakers, three days of educational sessions, networking opportunities and exposure to the latest HR products and services. No matter if you are just starting out as an HR Generalist, or you are a Senior VP of HR, HR Indiana has just the right education for you.
WELCOME TO HR INDIANA SHRM, THE INDIANA STATE AFFILIATE OF THE SOCIETY FOR HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT (SHRM).
We are dedicated to advancing the field of human resources in Indiana by providing information, leadership and opportunities for local chapters and SHRM members across the state.
We meet this mission through a variety of initiatives, led by a state council of over 30 volunteers, including the presidents of 15 local chapters that are geographically located throughout the state to serve HR professionals within their communities. Through our state council volunteer leaders, we work to advance our mission in many ways.
ATTEND HR INDIANA
Our #1 connection point, resource, and developmental opportunity is our annual state HR conference, HR Indiana. Over 1,600 attendees gather each year in Indianapolis to learn more about the profession, to connect to others, to get energized, to advance their skills.
Our state conference one of the largest in the United States and, as such, has plenty of resources, outstanding key note speakers, and most certainly lots of fun. If you connect in only one way with our organization, connect at our state conference. You will be a fan and I’m certain we’ll see you back year after year.
We have several other initiatives we are focusing on, including developmental, educational, and connection opportunities for students interested in the profession. We are also one of the top supporters in the country of the SHRM Foundation, which helps deliver scholarships to deserving HR professionals and students and provide HR solutions for the workplace for all.
We also work with several partner organizations throughout the state, such as the Indiana Business Leadership Network, which focuses on improving business performance by leveraging disability inclusion in the workplace, supply chain, and marketplace.
Everything we do is to advance the HR profession. Continue to look through our site, see our accomplishments, connect with our volunteer leaders, and learn more how HR has an impact on our businesses and communities throughout the state of Indiana.
