Why Attend

The 2019 Annual Meeting and Exhibit Show of the South Central Association of Blood Banks will take place May 30 - June 1 in San Antonio, Texas!

Engage in the education sessions presented by the industry’s experts on cutting edge topics.  Engage in the networking by connecting with fellow SCABB members and non members alike.  Engage in the exhibit hall by visiting each of our supporting vendor partners and learn about new equipment, supplies, processes to help you in your day to day work!

Engage with the San Antonio community with the South Central Community Project event.  Engage and be entertained at the Engage Event.  Finally, ENGAGE in applauding those that will be honored for their commitment to our industry at the Annual Awards Luncheon.

As you can see, there is something for everyone at Engage 2019!  We hope you’ll join us!

Company, as well as personal, budgets are getting tighter every year. Employers are finding it harder to send employees to educational offerings leaving it up to the individual to fund themselves. You can help bring more attendees to the conference which means more potential clients for yourself!

Sponsoring an AIMS attendee scholarship will allow an attendee, who otherwise would not be able, the opportunity to experience the AIM Symposium by supplementing their registration fee.  Scholarship reciepients will be chosen by SCABB.

Who attends ENGAGE?

CEO's, Medical Technologists, Physicians, Medical Directors, Nurses, Phlebotomists, Lab Directors, Blood Bank Supervisors, Recruiters, Donor Center Operations, Marketing Directors, Clinical Laboratory Scientists, Quality Assurance, Immunohematology Professionals
The educational tracks offer a wide variety of topics that will interest those from every aspect of the hospital blood bank and blood center.  There will be topics for everyone including CEOs,  technologists, physicians, nurses, phlebotomists, and recruiters.  Be sure to also check out the  industry workshops for those unique and special educational sessions.
