Event Overview:

The history of Bike New York is the history of the Five Boro Bike Tour, and it all started with an audacious plan to take a group of high schoolers on a ride across New York City. Every year since 1977, on the first Sunday in May, we welcome 32,000 cyclists from every state in the nation and more than 60 countries around the world to NYC for an experience of the Big Apple unlike any other.

Packet Pickup

All cyclists must pick up their rider packets at Bike Expo New York, which takes place on the two days prior to the Tour. This packet includes your Rider Identification Kit (aka RIK) and Tour Program. We will not mail rider packets.

Programming

With more than 100 exhibitors showcasing the latest in bikes, tech, apparel and more, it’s easy to forget about all the other good stuff going on at the Expo. Indoors, Expo attendees will find everything from fashion shows to panel discussions to how-to demonstrations, and outdoors we have a slate of on-bike classes. Best of all  - it’s free!
