Taking place at the Los Angeles Convention Center, the ASCRS•ASOA Symposium & Congress  will be the largest U.S. meeting that integrates a scientific program dedicated to the needs of the anterior segment specialist with the leading practice management program for comprehensive ophthalmology and subspecialties. The ASCRS•ASOA Symposium & Congress will be a joint meeting with the Asia-Pacific Association of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons.

What's New in 2019!

The 2019 ASCRS•ASOA Annual Meeting promises to be a rich and unique experience. Check out what’s new:

The ASCRS Program has increased its educational sessions to include an expanded ASCRS Essentials track, new ASCRS Roundtables-Meet the Experts sessions, ASCRS’ The Voice of Ophthalmology Season 2, special interest symposia (government relations, female leaders in ophthalmology, humanitarian efforts), more Skills Transfer Labs, ASCRS Young Eye Surgeons Wet Lab and much more. Plus, forty-percent of instructional courses will be new.

The ASOA Program has expanded its offerings to include ASOA Pre-Conference Deep Dives (Friday, May 3), nine knowledge pathways, more than 150 practice management courses, increased AAPC credit offerings, and targeted Administrator Beginners Circle (ABC) and Business of Ophthalmology Standards (BOOST) content.

How can I enhance my meeting experience?

Register for Subspecialty Day; the one-time fee includes full, unfettered access to, ASCRS Glaucoma Day, ASCRS Refractive Day and Cornea Day.
Register for ASCRS Meet the Experts Roundtables, intimate, interactive one-hour sessions in which experts will lead discussions in cataract surgery, IOLs, refractive surgery, cornea and glaucoma in a setting that fosters attendees/expert interactions and networking in an informal, relaxed setting.
Register to attend one of the many skills transfer labs.
Visit the exhibit floor for introductions into new technologies and to meet industry representatives who can share information on new tools and techniques.

What is a Pre-Conference Deep Dive?

ASOA Pre-Conference Deep Dives are optional training workshops and review courses in a concentrated training environment. Check out the ASOA Program for more details.
ASOA Annual Meeting registration is required in order to register for the ASOA Pre-Conference Deep Dives.* However, separate registration and fees apply for these programs.

What’s the COE Exam?

On Tuesday, May 7, 2019, ASOA will offer an opportunity for eligible attendees to sit for the Certified Ophthalmic Executive (COE) Exam. The registration deadline is April 3, 2019. No onsite registration will be permitted.
ASOA Annual Meeting registration is required in order to register for the COE Exam.* However, separate registration and fees apply for this exam.

Is there anywhere I can unwind, charge my phone, and network?

Absolutely! The ASOA Networking and Engagement Lounge will be open to all registered attendees onsite. The Lounge features a variety of opportunities to network, learn, or just recharge.
