As the industry starts its recovery from a long downturn and the resulting stranglehold on unconventional reservoirs, the timing of this meeting on unconventional resource technology couldn’t be better.
URTeC unites the disciplines by bringing together the entire asset team together under one roof to connect on all things unconventional. URTeC is comprised of three sponsoring organizations:
Plus nine endorsing organizations:
This combination of the world’s leading professional societies has brought both depth and breadth to the technical base of the conference which has attributed to the URTeC’s collaborative platform and innovation exchange sustaining and propelling our industry’s ongoing success.
Reserve exhibit space now at the premier event focused on the latest science and technology applied to exploration and development of unconventional resources.
Shale plays continue to hold a significant place in the world’s energy future. URTeC is the only event that brings the entire asset team together under one roof to connect on all things unconventional. It remains the most vibrant and vital event that every upstream energy professional should attend because its collaborative platform and innovation exchange sustains and propels the industry’s ongoing success.
Since its founding in 1917, the American Association of Petroleum Geologists has been a pillar of the worldwide scientific community. The original purpose of AAPG, to foster scientific research, to advance the science of geology, to promote technology, and to inspire high professional conduct, still guides the Association today.
The Society of Exploration Geophysicists is a not-for-profit organization that promotes the science of applied geophysics and the education of geophysicists. SEG, founded in 1930, fosters the expert and ethical practice of geophysics in the exploration and development of natural resources, in characterizing the near surface, and in mitigating earth hazards. The Society, which has more than 32,000 members (and growing) in 125 countries, representing 52 sections and associated societies in 31 countries, and 338 student chapters in 66 countries, fulfills its mission through its publications, conferences, forums, websites, and educational opportunities. SEG is proud to have achieved so many milestones during its relatively short history of supporting the global geoscience community.
In 1957, the organization was officially founded as SPE, a constituent society of AIME. SPE became a separately incorporated organization in 1985.
We are the largest individual-member organization serving managers, engineers, scientists and other professionals worldwide in the upstream segment of the oil and gas industry.
