Target Audience
The target audience for this CME activity is physicians who specialize in, among other areas, interventional cardiology, interventional radiology, vascular medicine, vascular surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, podiatry and neuroradiology, as well as fellows, and allied health professionals (including nurses, vascular clinic staff, endovascular operating room staff, catheterization laboratory and angiography suite staff, nurse practitioners, vascular technologists, and physicians assistants).

Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of the course, the targeted learners should be able:
Understand the current indications, risks, complications, and short and long-term results of various medical, interventional, and surgical therapies for the treatment of peripheral artery disease.
Utilize new and advanced medical, endovascular, and surgical techniques and approaches to improve the care and outcomes of patients.
Implement high quality guidelines based programs to overcome barriers to the identification and ideal care of all patients with non-cardiac vascular conditions.

The VEINS

VIVA welcomed The VEINS (Venous Endovascular INterventional Strategies) course to VIVA 15 and is excited to bring it back for a second year in Las Vegas! The VEINS at VIVA returns with this multispecialty, focused, comprehensive symposium providing an in-depth look at a rapidly evolving field.  From diagnosis and management strategies for superficial venous disease to the challenges of intervention for deep venous thrombosis and pulmonary emboli, the VEINS will provide new information to help you care for these complex patients.

A two-day interactive course held at Wynn Las Vegas will be focused on acute and chronic venous diseases, and offer a comprehensive analysis of the critical issues facing vascular specialists today.  With pulmonary embolism representing the highest death rate of hospitalized patients and DVT episodes outnumbering heart attacks or strokes in the U.S. annually, it is now more important than ever to be at the forefront of new, state-of-the-art technologies.

Target Audience
The target audience for this CME activity is for interventional cardiologists, vascular medicine specialists, interventional radiologists, vascular surgeons, internists, fellows and RT’s/NP’s/PA’s/RN’s interested in exploring cutting-edge and future strategies for venous treatment as well as those who are interested in a complete understanding of venous disease.

Appreciate the role of physiologic testing, duplex ultrasonography, and CT and MR venography in the management of venous disease.
Appreciate the available therapeutic options and analyze the emerging evidence in the management of superficial and deep vein disease.
Analyze the guidelines and available data for the medical and interventional management of pulmonary embolism.
