The Wichita Industrial Trade Show (WITS) will be held at Century II Expo Hall 225 W. Douglas, Wichita KS. Since 1974, WITS has been a significant marketplace for buyers in the Midwest. The Show has exhibitors from all sectors of our industrial community to present their services, machinery and equipment to the manufacturing community. Admission to the Exhibitor Area and the Seminars are FREE. No one under 14 years of age.

The Tools and Technology to Compete in a Global Market Place
WITS Wichita Industrial Trade Show – Established in 1974, it has become a significant marketplace in the heartland of Mid-America for buyers, manufacturing sources, industrial material, machinery and equipment. The show offers a dual opportunity for exhibitors from all sectors of our industrial community to present their products and services and for professionals of all levels to view the exhibits and talk to the factory experts. The show is held every other year.
In 2013, 2015 and 2017, the Wichita Industrial Trade Show was sold out with good attendance. We are planning a great show for 2019

The seminar will discuss Ref It Technology - An Intelligent Simple Way to Manage Data for Manufacturing, Laboratories, and R&D Groups.
BIO: Gina Becker is a chemical engineer with experience working for Dow Chemical, Eastman Kodak, and Kansas State University. She now co-owns a technology development company, DynaSim Technical Services, INC. Her technical expertise includes R&D, manufacturing pilot plant and commercial scale-up, process optimization, data management, and software design. Through her and her business partner’s experience working with various industries, they have encountered numerous data systems that seem overdone, complicated, rigid, or expensive, which motivated development of a more robust and simple data technology, called Ref It Technology.

A common sense approach to running your business using actual experiences utilizing open book / Great Game of Business management strategies
Even in the best of times there is uncertainty in running a business profitably if business is strong you could easily run out of cash as you try to meet your customer’s orders and are not collecting timely. If you are in a down cycle that same problem could occur along with having to reduce head count or worse. During these sessions we will give you a common sense approach to running your business using actual Distefano Mfg. experiences while utilizing open book management as taught by the Great Game of Business.
BIO: Brian Turner, currently VP/General Manager of Distefano Tool & Mfg Co. located in Omaha NE, has more than 30 years’ experience in manufacturing and business development. He has held positions from Production Control to Plant Management, VP of Sales and finally Vice President and General Manager of companies during that time. Brian has a degree in Business from UNL and is also a Caterpillar Corp. trained Six Sigma yellow belt and a Deming disciple.
Being responsible for B2B and B2C companies and products, each with its own unique challenges, has allowed him to draw from this diverse experience to share with others who may be experiencing challenging times in their companies. He has spoken at numerous national and regional events on many topics ranging from automation, LEAN, Business Development and Social Media’s impact.

Additive manufacturing technologies are also commonly known as “Rapid Prototyping” or “3D Printing” as well as other names. And, although they are still being used by design engineers for concept modeling and prototyping, that’s not all. Manufacturing engineers are now employing these technologies for various applications such as jigs, fixtures, check gauges, and even as a bridge-to-tooling and low-volume end-use parts.
