What I Like to talk About

I deliver keynote talks on living with heart to empower those in a transitional stage of life to impact change by building confidence, making stronger connections, and voicing their truth using a unique form of rhythmic poetry and story-telling tailored to spur positive action.

My Background

I am the second daughter of three born to Nigerian immigrants who moved here to America seeking vast opportunities. I am a doctor of Pharmacy by trade and a spoken word poet at heart.

“Doc Peace curates flows that will speak to the core of your being! I have had the honor to witness many of her performances and can tell you that they will evoke tears, laughter, and everything in between. Doc Peace's rhymes are fierce and yet her spirit is kind and lovely. She harbors this duality that rivals any of the major leaders in the world today.”

“ 5 STARS”

~ Jessica Bolton (Founder of PBSC Women’s Mastermind, Co-organizer of San Diego’s Annual Charity Art Battle/A Vision of Global Unity, and creator of That Dome Piece).

“As a youth coach and theater arts instructor, I had the pleasure of meeting Peace and having her present to my teen students. From her beginning words, Peace captivated the kids. They were mesmerized! Peace’s animated and rhythmic style brought out new understandings of communication and the spoken word. Through Peace’s words, inflection, gestures, and eyes, she was able to reach into the hearts of my students. Many of my students come from difficult backgrounds and many are undeserved youth and kids at risk. To say that Peace transformed many of their lives would be a good indication of their responses. They spoke of the dramatic presentation by Peace for weeks after. Peace’s presentations are not just of words, but emotion, music, rhythm and heart. I, and the kids, can’t wait to have her back.”

~ John Murphy (Distinguished Toastmaster and STAR/PAL Youth Coach, San Diego)

“Peace is one of a kind. Her words are powerful and moving. I saw her perform her spoken word pieces to sold out crowd in OB; she lit that place up. Her commanding stage presence and stylish flow touched the souls of everybody in the room. All the whistles and cheers after every punch line gave me goose bumps. Peace is the perfect combination of beauty, power, soul, & love; her work is truly inspiring. I’m excited to see her perform again soon.”

~ Cody Sherman (Vocalist and guitarist of Band of Gringos)

Research shows that positive affective experiences help develop positive behaviors, including enthusiasm, pride, energy, joy, and increased productivity. I teach people how to live life more positively, avoid judgement, connect with others, and work together more cohesively so that they can be more activated, engaged and productive. Many organizations may not have a process in place that encourages people to express their authentic self and bring a positive unique outlook to their work. Attendees are going to walk away from my talk with a step-by-step process on how to do just that!
