New Trade Show Display Company Opens in Nashville, TN
Trade Show
Tools, a trade show display and program management company, has recently opened
in Goodlettsville, TN, to take advantage of the ever-growing convention
environment in Nashville.
“There are
some compelling reasons to open a new display house in Nashville,” says Steve
Curtsinger, owner, “Our convention business continues to increase year over
year; and the current business environment in Nashville is incredible!”
While most
of Trade Show Tools clients are in Nashville MSA, the company serves a market across
Tennessee from Memphis to Knoxville, and north to south from Louisville, KY, to
Birmingham, AL. “Our clients are primarily from this area but exhibit at shows across
the country.”
Still many customers
are from out of state and exhibiting at trade shows at Music City Convention Center
and Gaylord Opryland Convention Center. “Nashville has a vibrant convention
business due to its ‘it city’ status driving business for display companies like
ours, and pumping revenue into the local economy.” Curtsinger added, “At some
point, the thousands of trade show attendees at a given convention will end up
in a honkytonk on Broadway, a restaurant on West End and back in their hotel
rooms.”
Trade Show
Tools designs displays, exhibits and large-format graphics for companies
exhibiting at trade shows, meetings, and events. They range in size from
tabletop displays to high square footage island exhibits. In addition, the
company offers exhibit warehousing, shipping, and a variety of show services. “We
have found that many marketing departments have neither the time, personnel, or
expertise to manage and execute their trade show programs. This is something we
love to do!” said Curtsinger.
Curtsinger,
who co-owns his company with his wife, Laurale, has seen several trends in the
display industry. “One definite trend is the move toward exhibit rentals,” he
said. “Companies have found they can compete with other exhibitors at a
fraction of the cost of ownership. At the end of the day, everyone evaluates
the success of their show by return on investment.” Another trend has been the increased
quality and usability of printed large-format graphics creating large
attention-getting display graphics.
Trade show activity
and, therefore, the exhibit business is sensitive to economic and world events,
such as the financial crisis of 2008, the attacks of 9/11/2001 and the recent
pandemic. “Things happen that affect businesses, marketing budgets and business
travel. But the strong established companies always survive to see another
show,” said Curtsinger.
Curtsinger
has a strong desire to help first-time exhibitors and small businesses. “Trade shows
can be intimidating for some, but we can help them look great their first time
out. We see every project as important, no matter the size.”
In 30 years
in the industry, has owned two other trade show display companies, including
Integra Display in the 2000s and most recently Event Recall. “Trade Show Tools is laser-focused on serving
the trade show exhibitor any stage of their trade show participation, from
first-time exhibitors to large companies.”
