Overview

The Miami Airport Convention Center (MACC) is Miami’s second largest convention and exhibition facility. The recently modernized facility includes a total of 172,000 square feet of meeting space, a 29,000 square-foot ballroom and the ability to host over 400 tradeshow booths. With interiors that incorporate some of Miami’s iconic design elements, the MACC’s extensive improvements include new lighting, A/C, escalators, elevators, restrooms, flooring and a completely new entrance lobby. The adjacent Doubletree Hotel has also completed renovations to guest rooms and added a new signature restaurant and lobby bar.

Just minutes from Miami International Airport and a short drive from Downtown Miami and the heart of the city's business district, the MACC provides spacious and elegant venues for Miami corporate events. All of our meeting rooms feature high-speed Internet connectivity and high-tech audio-visual capabilities. MACC Welcomes World Trade Center Miami and Governor Scott

Miami, FL (June 14, 2012) World Trade Center of Miami presented the “Florida’s International Achievement Award” for 2012 to Governor Rick Scott for his outstanding leadership and performance in enhancing two-way trade and tourism.

This will be the 27th year that the World Trade Center Miami has presented “Florida’s International Achievement Award” to outstanding executives and corporations that have done the most to advance Miami and Florida’s position as the “Trade and Logistics Capital of the Americas.”

Governor Rick Scott Governor Scott was welcomed by World Trade Center of Miami, Greater Miami Convention and Visitor Bureau, Port Authorities, along with Miami Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez. While in Miami, Governor Rick Scott and Lt. Governor Jennifer Carroll are hosted the ”Breaking Down Barriers to International Trade” forum on June 14 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. at Terminal J. The forum addressed key federal regulatory and trade promotion issues.
