Event Overview:

Conference presentations are organized by topic in more than 80 sections based on different subfields or areas of study. Many of these are interdisciplinary and draw scholars from different fields, providing a variety of perspectives.

In the spring of each year, the MPSA holds one of the largest political science conferences in the discipline. In 2013, more than 5,700 presenters from the United States and 55 countries throughout the world presented more than 4,700 papers. Conference presentations are organized by topic in more than 70 sections based on different subfields or areas of study. Many of these are interdisciplinary and draw scholars from different fields, providing a variety of perspectives.  As our attendee survey and comments from past attendees attest, this is a popular conference.

MPSA is an international academic association with members in the United States as well as nearly 60 other countries.  Founded in 1939, MPSA is dedicated to the advancement of scholarship in all areas of political science.  The association publishes one of the premier journals in the field, the American Journal of Political Science, and hosts attendees at its annual conference every spring – the largest political science conference in the country with approximately 1,100 sessions with 5,000 papers and 7,000 authors/speakers.

Meet potential authors; introduce new textbooks, software, journals, and other products and services to a diverse group in the political science field.  The exhibit hall boasts over 40 exhibitors and 5,200 attendees.  As an exhibitor, you will have unprecedented exposure to the decision makers who plan courses and select textbooks.  Average daily foot traffic in the exhibit hall has grown to over 3,000 – meet the people you need to know!  The exhibit hall is the center of conference activity and includes email kiosks, complimentary coffee and poster presentations.  In addition, the Exhibitors’ Reception is a favorite gathering place for attendees following a full first day of meetings.

The Midwest Political Science Association (MPSA) was founded in 1939 and is dedicated to the advancement of scholarship in all areas of political science.

The purposes of the MPSA are to promote the professional study and teaching of political science, to facilitate communications between those engaged in such study, and to develop standards for and encourage research in theoretical and practical political problems. As such, MPSA is a nonpartisan association. It does not support political parties or candidates.
