Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS) is an annual conference organzied by the non-profit organization of the same name. WiCyS is the only organization at the intersection of academia, industry, government and research that is focused on recruiting, retaining and advancing women in their cybersecurity careers. WiCyS 2019 will be held in conjunction with local host Carnegie Mellon University and features a Career Fair, Technical Workshops, Keynotes, Poster Competition, mentoring and learning. More than 500 students attend the 1,200 person event on a scholarship through the sponsorships of organizations like Facebook, Cisco, Lockheed Martin, IBM, PayPal and many others.

Director, CyLab; FORE Systems Professor
Lorrie Faith Cranor is the FORE Systems Professor of Computer Science and of Engineering and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University where she is director of the CyLab Usable Privacy and Security Laboratory (CUPS). She is associate department head of the Engineering and Public Policy Department and co-director of the MSIT-Privacy Engineering masters program. In 2016 she served as Chief Technologist at the US Federal Trade Commission. She is also a co-founder of Wombat Security Technologies, Inc, a security awareness training company. She is a fellow of the ACM and IEEE and a member of the ACM CHI Academy.
