About Dietitians of Canada:
We promote easier access to trusted food and nutrition information from dietitians. Through our public website, our annual Nutrition Month Campaign and our online dietitian referral systems, we facilitate access to dietitians for the public, for the media, and for other health professionals.
We provide leadership in shaping nutrition policy that supports healthy eating and promotes the health of Canadians at the national, provincial and local levels.
We develop standards and resources that support dietitians and other health professionals in their practice as well as provide professional development opportunities.
We accredit education and training programs that prepare students for practice as a dietitian.
We promote dietitians as valuable members of the health team, providing cost-effective health promotion, disease prevention, treatment and supportive care.
