Event Overview:

The Southeast has become an increasingly important center for agricultural, retail and foodservice growth. In fact, the SPC is continually cultivating ideas to spread the word about the importance and benefits of the Southeast region and its impact on the produce industry.

We look forward to seeing all of our members in Orlando as we celebrate another year together at Southern Exposure. Get out your blue suede shoes and get ready for some jumpin’ and jivin’ as we head back to the ’50s and ’60s where there’s A Whole Lotta Produce Going On.

The Tom Page Golf Classic at Reunion Resort

Tom Page Golf Classic LogoNetworking opportunities are always available at The Tom Page Golf Classic. This event sells out every year, so sign up early to reserve your spot. The cost is $275.00* per person and includes 18 holes of golf, a breakfast buffet and lunch during the awards reception. The golf tournament is only available to Southern Exposure registrants. To sign up for golf register to attend Southern Exposure and elect “Golf” on the registration form. Remember to pack your clubs, or reserve a set of rental clubs for $60**.

Opening Night Gala Party

Private Party BandYou are going to want to register early for this year’s Opening Night Gala Party! Private Party Band will have the dance floor jumpin’ and jivin’ all night long with hit’s from the ’50s and ’60s.

Last year’s Gala Opening Party saw record attendance, so be sure to register today!

 Keynote Luncheon

Archie ManningThe Keynote luncheon and general session will occur on Saturday, 2/28, highlights will include honoring the SEPC Lifetime Achievement Award recipient as well as a presentation by legendary football star Archie Manning.

Educational Workshops I & II

This year’s workshop series will kick off on Friday, 2/27, with two exceptional workshops focused on helping you become more successful within the produce industry.

Workshop I: “Save the Queen” Documentary

Edwin Stepp“Save the Queen”, a documentary by Edwin Stepp, focuses on the plight of the honeybee and the threat of Colony Collapse Disorder (or CCD). This documentary provides an in-depth look at CCD being caused by a combination of factors rather than a single culprit such as pesticides. It is estimated that if honeybees disappeared, that one-third of our food supply would go with it. In this workshop, we will be of the first to view this industry affected documentary, and hear first hand from our special guest speaker and documentary producer, Edwin Stepp.

Exposition

The Southern Exposure exposition is the highlight of the conference. With 267 booths from around the produce industry, you can expect A Whole Lotta Produce Going On! Exhibitors are ready to share their products and network with attendees. Show floor opens on Saturday, 2/28, at 12:30 pm.

Booth Decorating

Exhibitors can decorate their booth to this years theme for a chance to win $1,000 for the best decorated booth. Admission to all events will require your name badge to be scanned before entering. There will be no exceptions.
